Shabackat PBX — A Business Phone System Built for Saudi Arabia
Our own IP-PBX, with AI voice agents that answer in Arabic or English. It understands the Saudi numbering plan, the Sunday-to-Thursday week, prayer times and the Umm al-Qura holiday calendar — because it was written here, for organisations here. Hosted in the Kingdom or on your own server, with an Arabic right-to-left admin panel. Ask us for a live demo.
A Phone System We Build, Not One We Resell
The SIP and RTP engine is written from scratch in TypeScript — there is no Asterisk, FreeSWITCH or Kamailio inside. That means the behaviour that matters to a Saudi organisation is built in rather than bolted on, and changes do not wait on someone else's roadmap.
A Full IP-PBX
Extensions, voicemail-to-email, ring groups, queues, IVR menus, conferences, call recording and transfers — the complete set a business actually runs on.
AI Voice Agents Included
Agents that answer calls, hold a conversation in Arabic or English, transfer to a person, take a message, and run outbound calling campaigns from a list.
Arabic Throughout
The admin panel runs right-to-left in Arabic, the voice prompts are Arabic, and so are the menus on the phones themselves — not an English system with a translated label here and there.
Your Server or Ours
One Docker image with PostgreSQL and automatic HTTPS. Host it inside the Kingdom for the lowest latency and to keep call data where you want it, or let us run it for you.
The Things an Imported Phone System Gets Wrong
Most PBX platforms are built for a Monday-to-Friday week in another time zone and then localised afterwards. These are not settings we added — they are how the system works by default.
Saudi Numbering Plan
Dial 05…, 011…, 800…, 9200…, +966… or 00966… and each trunk receives the number in the exact format its carrier expects. Emergency numbers — 911, 997, 998, 999 — always work.
Prayer-Time Routing
Calls follow prayer-time breaks calculated by the Umm al-Qura method, with the longer Isha interval during Ramadan — so callers hear the right message instead of ringing an empty desk.
Saudi Week and Hijri Holidays
A Sunday-to-Thursday working week on Asia/Riyadh time, and the official public holidays — with both Eids following the Umm al-Qura Hijri calendar rather than a fixed date someone has to update each year.
Toll-Fraud Protection
Per-extension calling classes, account lockouts, IP bans, rate limits and blocking of known scanners — because an exposed PBX is one of the fastest ways to run up an international call bill.
A Voice Agent That Answers in Saudi Arabic
Two engines are available: OpenAI Realtime for the lowest latency speech-to-speech, or a pipeline of Deepgram speech recognition using its Saudi Arabic dialect model, Claude for the reasoning, and your choice of voice. The PBX works fully without any AI account if you would rather not use one.
Answers and Transfers
The agent picks up, understands what the caller wants, and either handles it, transfers to the right person, or takes a message — with natural interruption, so callers can talk over it.
Connected to Your Systems
Agents can call your own webhooks mid-conversation to look up an order, check a balance or book an appointment, so the caller gets a real answer rather than a promise to call back.
Outbound Campaigns
Upload a CSV with Arabic or English column headers and the system calls the list, respecting allowed calling windows, concurrency limits, retries and a blocklist, with voicemail detection.
Transcripts and Summaries
Every AI call produces a full transcript and a post-call summary with the outcome, the caller's sentiment and any follow-up required — so the conversation is reviewable, not lost.
Everything a Business Switchboard Needs
The standard telephony feature set, included rather than sold as add-on modules.
Works With the Phones and Lines You Already Have
Standard SIP throughout, so nothing here locks you to one handset vendor or one carrier.
Phones and Softphones
Zoiper, MicroSIP, Linphone and Bria on desktop and mobile; Yealink, Grandstream and Fanvil desk phones with auto-provisioning; and a browser phone that needs nothing installed at all.
Saudi and International Trunks
SIP trunks from Saudi operators — stc, Mobily, Zain, Salam and GO — or international providers such as Twilio, Telnyx and DIDWW, including 9200 and 800 numbers.
Read the entire system before you talk to us
The complete Shabackat PBX Guidebook is public: 31 chapters and 81 screenshots covering every screen, every setting and every call flow in plain language. You do not need to book a call to find out how it works — read it first, then ask us the questions that are left.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes — that is the normal way to start. Ask for a demo and we will walk you through a live system: place real calls, hear an AI agent answer in Arabic, and see the admin panel. Contact us on +966 55 826 9606 or through the form.
Usually not. Any standard SIP phone works, and Yealink, Grandstream and Fanvil handsets can be auto-provisioned. Staff who do not need a desk phone can use a softphone or the browser phone instead.
Yes. The system connects over standard SIP trunks to Saudi operators including stc, Mobily, Zain, Salam and GO, as well as international providers, and it handles 9200 and 800 service numbers.
Wherever you choose. It ships as a single Docker image with PostgreSQL, so it can run on a server inside the Kingdom or in your own data centre. Hosting it in Saudi Arabia also gives the lowest latency for AI voice.
No. The PBX is a complete phone system on its own and works fully without any AI account. AI agents are switched on by adding provider API keys, and each provider bills you directly for what you use.
We do not publish prices, because the figure depends on the number of extensions, whether AI agents are used and whether we host it for you. Tell us your user count and what you need it to do, and we will quote it.
Yes. We handle installation, trunk configuration, phone provisioning and staff training across Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam, with locally based support afterwards under defined service-level agreements.
