Description
The FortiGate 601E is the 600E with local storage: the same 1U E-series platform, interface set and NP6/CP9 acceleration, plus 2 x 240 GB onboard SSDs for logging and reporting. Two disks let the appliance hold its own traffic and threat records at the enterprise edge, which suits sites that must keep log data on premises or cannot rely on a constant link to a central analyser. Design, sizing and interfaces are otherwise identical to the 600E.
