Description
FG-TRAN-LX is a single-mode SFP optical transceiver for long-reach 1 Gigabit fibre uplinks, fitted to SFP ports on FortiGate and FortiSwitch appliances. It is the module to specify when a Gigabit link has to cross between buildings over single-mode fibre rather than stay inside one rack. Note the FG-TRAN ordering code: Fortinet also lists an FN-TRAN-LX part of the same single-mode LX optical type, so order whichever code appears on your quotation or bill of materials.
